Myriad Pro font
About this font.
Myriad is an Adobe Originals design that was initially released in 1992 and is used for both text and display screen composition. Myriad Pro is an OpenType update that enhances this sans serif family to include Greek and Cyrillic glyphs, as well as old-style figures and bettering support for Latin-based languages. The whole Myriad Pro family members include condensed, standard, and extended widths in a wide range of weights.
Robert Slimbach and Carol Twombly created the humanist sans-serif font Myriad for Adobe Systems in 1992. Myriad was designed to be a neutral, general-purpose typeface that could be used for a variety of purposes and had a shape that could be readily expanded to a wide range of weights and widths using computer-aided design.
Myriad is best known for replacing Apple Garamond as the company's corporate typeface from April 29, 2002 until January 24, 2017. Because of its āyā descender, tail, and slanting āeā cut, Myriad stands out among sans-serif fonts.
