Mrs Eaves OT font
About this font.
Zuzana Licko developed Mrs Eaves, a transitional serif font, in 1996. It's a descendant of Baskerville, which was created in the 1750s in Birmingham, England. Mrs Eaves uses a low x-height and a variety of unique combination characters or ligatures to modify Baskerville for usage in display contexts like headlines and book blurbs.
Mrs Eaves has been joined by an 'XL' variant for body text, as well as Mr Eaves, a sans-serif companion, by Emigre, a type foundry operated by Zuzana Licko and husband Rudy VanderLans. Mrs Eaves has been featured with such classics as Helvetica, Univers, Bodoni, and Franklin Gothic as one of the best-selling types for years. It has come to characterize the Emigre type foundry due to its commercial and popular success.
